Unicorn House

Parents, Staff and pupils, welcome to Unicorn House. We encourage participation from every member of the House.

My name is Ben Dumayne and I am Head of Unicorn House. I have been teaching for four years and am from South Wales.

I am very competitive and want the pupils and staff in my House to always try their best and "improve upon our best." The ethos of Unicorn House is to "Strive to the highest point." We need to push hard this year to ensure that Unicorn reclaims the top spot. This will only be achieved through hard work and determination from all.

On Sports Day this year, all staff and students toiled courageously in every event. The Unicorn staff  sprinted into the medals gaining Bronze in the 4x100m relay and gave a valiant effort in the tug of war, supported by one of our Chinese visitors, but were slightly too "light" for victory.

I will be based in an office in the green corridor opposite F1. If students have any problems, worries or concerns they can come and see me before school, after school or during their breaks. Obviously their tutor should always be their first port of call. Likewise, if parents have any worries or concerns please contact me in school to arrange a meeting or email me. 

My responsibility is to ensure that our students/your children receive the best possible care and attention that our staff can give. I will also ensure that nothing jeopardises this. This will inevitably include dealing with instances of bullying and disputes. I will endeavour to deal with all of these situations consistently adhering to school policy.
