My name is Barbara Jeffery.  I have been married for 35 years and I have three grown up children.  My family and my Faith are very important to me, and whilst I live my Faith, I only ever talk about it when asked.  However, as a parent I been through “the teenage battles” (a survivor!) and over the years, this has helped me to foster successful relationships with both students and parents.

During the last few years I have seen Passmores develop and grow into the outstanding school that it now is. Everyone involved in the life and the work of the school is encouraged to be the person they are and yet to strive to be even better.

One of the ways that I can do this is to be seen to be an active part of the house system, supporting Griffin endeavours to the best of my abilities.  This includes being a form tutor, where the vertical tutor group system has enabled both tutor and students to build positive relationships across the years.

I will continue to use my own experiences to try and create a family atmosphere at the beginning of each day, where necessary tasks are carried out with encouragement and good humour, enabling the students and myself to start the teaching day with a smile.
