Dragon House
Students, parents and staff, welcome to Dragon House, a house that accepts and understands the importance of working as a team. Without the encouragement and participation from each and every house member, our success to date would not exist.
My name is Joyce Powell and I am truly delighted and proud to be the Head of Dragon House. I have just started my fifth year here at Passmores School and come from County Cork, Ireland. I envisage great victories in the coming year and will do my very best to ensure fun is had by all throughout the house activities and competitions.
Our motto “In it to win it” speaks for itself. In an ideal world Dragon House would be on top of their game at all times and accept victory with open arms. However, all I ask is that we as a house, a family, do our best to encourage and support each other, and ensure we participate in each of the house activities.
Apart from house activities and competitions, my job also revolves around the happiness and well-being of your child/children. From September, my office will be in the blue corridor across from Y1 classroom. Your form tutor should always be your first port of call, however I welcome students to come to see me if any issues arise no matter how small they may seem. I am free before school, break and lunch times and also after school. Below you will find my email address. Please feel free to contact me regarding any issues at any time.

Dragon House Sports Day Victory
It has been yet another successful victory for the mighty Dragon House in Sports Day 2010 where we won the overall event. We achieved victory in all but the Year 7 events. It was a well deserved win and I hope staff and students are extremely proud of their efforts. Our motto ‘In it to win it’ was in full effect and was the backbone to our success. It was probably one of the closest Sports Days ever and no one could tell who was going to be the winning House until the results were read out!! Tutors encouraged and motivated students throughout the day and we were fully supported by other members of our House. Well done Dragon House…………………………roll on July 22nd for the final result.
